Jenny

.homemade wooden Zoo animals (Christmas, age: 7)
.a homemade wooden horse stable (Christmas, age: 6)
.filled with homemade wooden horses (Christmas, age: 4)
.a homemade wooden hundred acre woods (Christmas, age: 5)
.homemade wooden Winnie the Pooh characters (Christmas, age: 3)
.a homemade wooden rocking horse (Christmas, age: 2)
.Daddy's childhood baseball bat, baseball, and baseball glove
.Daddy's childhood toy tool set
.Daddy's childhood Lincoln logs
.Daddy's childhood legos
.Daddy's childhood battling tops game
.Daddy's childhood Janga game
.an A.A. Milne World of Pooh book
.a hairbrush
.four second hand store t-shirts
.one second hand store pair of girl jeans
.two second hand store pairs of boy jeans
.one second hand store pair of girl tennis shoes
.one second hand store boy jacket
.one pair of gloves
.four pairs of underwear
.one pillow
.two second hand store blankets
.some plastic toys and stuffed animals that other kids gave me for birthdays

I look down the stuffed Pooh in my arms, who is oddly my only toy Daddy ever gave me that wasn't for Christmas, homemade, or used to belong to him as a kid. Wonder if it's odd that Pooh's the toy that I have to carry around all of the time, but then wonder if's it's because he's cuddly, and all of the other toys he gave me were hard. I sit on my rocking horse, and rock back a fourth, with my feet on the ground, wishing that I hadn't gotten too big for it. Get up and go get out everything else I owned before coming to Ms. China's house.

I notice that I still have everything I owned, before coming to Ms. China's house, except for my air mattress and toothbrush. I change into a pair of jeans, a shirt, and the shoes I had before coming here. They still fit, but they are not big on me like they were then, because I had recently got them and Daddy would buy me oversize clothes and then wait until they were tight on me to replace them.

I remember when I first came here, and everything was so weird. The food was different. Instead of just taking off my jeans before bed, I had to change into pajamas, and then sleep on a different mattress with a different feel, in my very own bedroom. I had to wear different clothes, and eat different food, and go places in a car. I got to play with, and ride horses, which was awesome. There was a backyard, and it had a stable and paddocks, a playground, and a pool. I had a swimsuit to wear in the pool instead of a t-shirt. I could read watch books and movies, other then the World of Pooh, without going to the library first, and I had more toys to play with. I haven't heard the load sounds of Daddy working with his tools down in his shop for a long time.

I sit on my two small rocking horse. I think about how I've been here for months, but I never got completely used to it. I I may be living like one, but I known I'm not a rich kid.

"I don't know. I was thinking of what my life was like before I came to live here. Things are so much different now, then they were then, that sometimes I feel like some sort of impostor."

Sweetie, you aren’t living like a rich kid. You just have things that every child deserves. A nice warm bed good food pretty clothes fun toys. It’s not that you live like a rich kid it’s just you have things now that make your life a little more comfortable. Don’t you enjoy having these things?

I know sweetie he did an amazing job! Parents just want to do the best they can for their kids. Parents want their kids to have the absolute best of everything. I just want that for you too. You and all the other children here I want you all to feel comfortable and I want you to feel like you have a great opportunity to just have a good life.

"If you're not rich, why do we have so many things here that Daddy and I did not have?"

I mean I do have a lot of money but that’s only because I run a lot of businesses and that makes it easier for me to provide you all with a lot of things. But that doesn’t mean you live like a rich kid it just means you have a lot of things that make you a little more comfortable. Like I said I just want you feel like you have a chance to be comfortable and have nice stuff.  And not just you but everyone.

I strive to make sure all kids that are here have good stuff because I just feel like you guys deserve it. And your daddy gave you everything I give you a house clothes food toys just because it a little different then you used to have doesn’t mean it’s much better or much worse it’s the same stuff just in a different way.

Well I mean a lot of people have cars who aren’t actually rich they just work and pay a few dollars every month to keep the car and we just have water because I pay a few dollars every month to keep the water so we are able to take baths everyday hygiene and keeping your self clean is important. And the horses that’s just an added bonus you love horses

"Daddy worked, and he didn't think hygiene was important enough to bath every day. I do love the horses, but he used to take me to see some one the side of the road, and he said I couldn't have my own horse because only rich people had horses."

I know. But I just work for myself so I get paid a little more. That’s the only difference. Don’t you like being nice and clean every night? Having cute pjs to put on? You love having your own horses to look after.  And a lot of People have horses not just rich people. Like some people own farms and they have a lot of animals horses cows chickens and many other animals so while it is a nice thing to have not only rich people have them

"I'd actually rather not take a bath every night, or really care about having pajama's. I love the horses, but Daddy said only rich people can have horses, and he would never lie."
